H.E.Baber writes with devastating candour and humanity. For my money, not that I have much, this is the best philosophy blog bar none. I think, though, that she underestimates the guilt and emotional damage that can be inflicted by the fundamentalist silver ring memes. Most adolescents have a predisposition to seek out the opposite gender and get loved up, there is often a lot of misunderstanding and tears along the way to adulthood; but it has to be done. Religion is no substitute for real life.
